Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Plate Blast (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Plate Blast allows users to anonymously report vehicle license plates ('BLAST'), lookup plate information, track plates, earn achievements, and subscribe to premium features. The service is provided via a React Native mobile app backed by Supabase.

3. Eligibility & Account Registration

• • You must be at least 18 years old.
• • You must register an account with a valid email or via Google OAuth.
• • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• • Submit false, defamatory, or unlawful reports.
• • Harass, threaten, or harm others.
• • Circumvent restrictions (e.g., RLS, permission rules).
• • Use the App for any illegal purpose, including unauthorized access to data.

5. Points, Achievements & Gamification

Points are earned by submitting valid reports and other activities. Achievements are unlocked based on point milestones. Points have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash.

6. Premium Subscription & In‑App Purchases

• • Premium unlocks full plate details, unlimited plate tracking, and the ability to hide reports using points.
• • Subscriptions renew automatically and are handled via in‑app purchase platforms (App Store, Play Store).
• • Cancellation must be done through your device's subscription settings.

7. Content Ownership & License

• • All App content, trademarks, and logos are owned by Plate Blast or its licensors.
• • You retain ownership of any reports you submit but grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use and display them.

8. Privacy & Data

Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and store data in Supabase and may send push/email notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy of plate lookups or uninterrupted service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plate Blast and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Plate Blast harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may deactivate your account at any time in the App settings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms; we will notify you by posting the new Terms in the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.
